Columbiana County Sheriff

— Deputies responded at 7:52 p.m. on Saturday to Speidel Rd. to a report of a domestic disturbance in Hanover Township. Deputies were advised a male involved had left work. The complaint reported the subject had smacked her on the buttocks.

— Deputies responded at 8:55 a.m. on Saturday to Valley Rd. in Salem to an open 911 call. It was determined the call was made by accident.

— Deputies responded at 6 p.m. on Saturday to Charlton Dr. in Salem to a report of criminal damaging and theft.

— A woman reported at 4:48 p.m. that a bathing suit and dress was stolen from her on Steubenville Pike in Center Township on Saturday in East Palestine. She was advised to contact East Palestine police.

— Deputies responded at 7:16 p.m. on Friday to the railroad bridge near state Route 558 in Fairfield Township after a report of a BB pellet damaging a windshield in the area. Deputies were unable to locate anyone besides the driver. The deputies reported the windshield was damaged.

— Deputies responded at 7:42 p.m. to Stocking St. in Washingtonville on Friday to a report of a loud music complaint. No music was located by the deputies at the scene.

— Deputies responded at 8:21 p.m. to Union St. in Washingtonville to a report of dogs on Friday and a dog-bite victim who sought treatment at the Salem Regional Medical Center. Deputies did not locate the dog at large and advised the county dog warden of the incident.

— A woman reported at 6:35 p.m. that a man in West Township accused her of stealing a sign on Green St on Friday. The woman made a report.

— Deputies responded at 8:12 p.m. to Holmeswood Dr. in Butler Township to a report of an unruly juvenile on Thursday.

— Deputies responded at 7:34 p.m. to Canan St. in East Rochester to a report of a suicidal female. The female was transported to the hospital for evaluation on Wednesday.

— Deputies responded at 7:15 p.m. to state Route 45 in Center Township to a report of a juvenile who stole money from her guardian on Wednesday.

— Deputies responded at 5:07 p.m. to Pondi's in Lisbon for a report of a private-property accident on Wednesday.

— Deputies responded at 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday to a report of a cow in distress. The deputies determined the cow had both food and water and advised the animal's owner of the complaint.

— Deputies investigated at 10:11 p.m. on Wednesday a report from Sirius XM Radio about a stolen car out of Michigan possibly being in Butler Township. Duties were unable to locate the car.

— A complaint was made at 8 p.m. on Tuesday to the sheriff department regarding an eviction issue and missing item at a trailer park on Rochester Road in West Township. The complaint was advised all matters were civil.

Highway Patrol

–William Meissner, 67, Damascus, was cited for failure to control after his northbound vehicle on Valley Road went off the right side of the roadway, striking a brick post, and a utility pole at 3:04 p.m. Sunday in Butler Township. No injuries were reported.

–Sara Papa, 37, Columbiana, was cited for a right of way violation after her westbound vehicle on Heck Road failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Heck Road and state Route 7, striking a vehicle driven southbound on state Route 7 by William Hum, 75, Salem at 10:59 a.m. Friday in Fairfield Township. Papa was treated on scene for suspected minor injuries by Columbiana EMS.

–Robert Loughley, 68, Wellsville, was cited for failure to control after his eastbound vehicle on Hammond School Road, went partially off the left side of the roadway, striking a garbage can and a mailbox at 3:54 p.m. in Madison Township. No injuries were reported.

–Thomas Morrison, 52, Marion, was cited for failure to control after his westbound vehicle on U.S. Route 30 went off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment and a ditch at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday in Center Township. No injuries were reported.

–Steven Wukotich, 22, Lisbon, was cited for a right of way violation after his northeast bound vehicle on Osbourne Road failed to yield when turning onto state Route 45, causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven southeast bound by Richard Clendenning, 47, Lisbon, at 7:49 p.m. May 29, in Madison Township. No injuries were reported.

–Zachary Marnin, 29, Minerva, was cited for assured clear distance ahead, after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 14 struck the rear of a vehicle driven eastbound by Leslie Ferguson, 64, Salem, at 3:20 p.m. May 27 in the village of Washingtonville. Ferguson had possible injuries but refused treatment on scene by Green Township EMS.

–Benjamin Mahon, 23, East Palestine, was cited for distracted driving, marked lanes, and a seatbelt violation after his westbound vehicle on state Route 558 went off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment and a ditch at 2:40 p.m. May 26. No injuries were reported.

East Liverpool

— An officer responded to 2019 Ohio Ave., on May 12 at 12:09 p.m., for a report of theft. A female reported that her lawnmower had been stolen and found in the yard at this address. When the officer tried to make contact with the resident the female stated that she wasn't completely sure the lawnmower was hers. The officer said he would make a report of the stolen mower and if the female could provide proof, it was hers, they could file charges.

— Officers responded on May 12 at 9:42 a.m., to 900 W. 8th St., for a report of suspicious activity. The officer made contact with three males who were told to leave the premises.

— On May 12 at 2:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a child abduction in progress at 215 E. 3rd St. Officers made contact with a male who said his wife has full custody of her grandchild and the father of the child tried to abduct him. After speaking with the grandmother, the officer discovered that she was willingly letting the child into the father's vehicle. Officers informed the male since he wasn't on the custody papers, he has no say in who's car the grandmother lets the child enter.

— An officer assisted the East Liverpool Health Dept., in delivering a notice to 349 Jackman St., on May 12 at 2:15 p.m. The officer was not able to make contact with the resident and placed the letter in the mailbox.

— Officers responded to a report of an overdose at 828 Bradshaw Ave., on May 13 at 7:19 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Thomas Akers, (age not provided) lying on the floor just inside the front door of the residence. While waiting for EMS to arrive an officer began to give Akers, who was unresponsive with labored breathing, a sternum rub. Narcan was administered by EMS. Akers, who had a warrant, was transported to ELCH. The officer requested hospital staff to call the police department when Akers was to be released.

— Officers were dispatched to Gina's Drive Thru for a male and female arguing in an SUV on May 13 at 2:33 p.m. Upon arrival, the SUV was gone. Officers spoke with an employee who said everything was fine and nothing physical happened.

— On May 13 at 3:31 a.m., officers were called to the area of 400 Vine Street for a report of people fighting. Upon arrival, officers witnessed two males talking loudly with one becoming aggressive towards the other. Officers tried to deescalate the situation when the primary intoxicated aggressor identified as Reginald Regel Pugh II refused to listen to the officer's command and tried to leave the scene. He was then placed in restraints while the officers continued investigating. Pugh was placed under arrest and issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

— An officer was dispatched on May 13 at 2:22 p.m., to 1537 Globe St., where the resident reported someone parking in front of her driveway blocking her in. The officer spoke with a male at 1541 Globe St., who said the car belonged to his girlfriend's mother who was only there for five minutes. He was advised to tell his mother-in-law not to block the driveway anymore or she would be cited.

— An officer responded to a domestic dispute at 1013 Bradshaw Ave., on May 13 at 1:13 a.m. The husband was intoxicated, and the wife wanted him to leave the residence. The wife requested they take her husband as he was attempting to start arguments. The officer educated the husband on domestic violence and advised him to stay away from his wife, so he agreed to spend the night on the couch.

— On May 13 at 10:09 a.m., ELCH called the police station to advise that two Indviduals with warrants were about to be released. An officer arrived at the hospital and placed Myron Youngblood, 42, and Thomas Akers, 34, (addresses not provided) under arrest for active warrants and transported both males to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle on May 13 at 3:17 p.m., for someone leaving a pornographic book in a shopping cart.

— On May 13 at 5:55 a.m., officers saw Myron Youngblood, 42, who is known to have an active warrant in the area of College and Walnut streets. Officers arrested him without incident and transported him to the Columbiana County Jail. The jail refused him due to an alleged leg injury caused by his prosthetic leg. He was left on the jail premises parking lot so an ambulance could transport him for treatment.
