Mar 16, 2023

Alton, MO. – EMS week, which began on May 21st, was established as a way to recognize the professionals within the medical industry who provide emergency treatment services to people across the nation.

The Oregon County Ambulance has been doing activities all week for this yearly event, and a big one will start tomorrow. Tasha Miller, who works as a Resilience Coordinator for the Oregon County Ambulance, stepped into the studio today to speak about their activities.

Tomorrow's event, which is a fundraiser, will see many emergency services workers and management donning Hawaiian attire to wash vehicles. This fundraising effort is being made for the purchase of AEDs, life-saving equipment, for various emergency services throughout the region. The event will take place at the Alton Volunteer Fire Department Facility.
