A nearby resident, who was not identified by name, told the Kansas City Star she heard about 15 gunshots and could see people step over a woman's body as they left the club. She saw two other bodies at the scene as well, she told the newspaper.
"It's really sad," the woman said. "It's something that's continuously going on."
There have been 65 homicides in Kansas City this year, according to the newspaper. Authorities are offering $25,000 to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in connection with Sunday's shooting.
