AT-HOME FITNESS got more advanced—and sleeker—when fitness mirrors entered the game. While these stylish, reflective machines function as mirrors at rest, when powered on, they allow users to live stream or follow along to huge libraries of pre-recorded classes, including disciplines like cardio, strength training, core, yoga, Pilates, barre, boxing, and more. Though each brand's offering is different, some even offer live coaching via 3D sensors or cameras on the device itself. "They’re multifunctional for lifestyle and fitness," explains Noam Tamir, C.S.C.S., owner of TS Fitness in New York, NY. "Not only do the mirrors offer tons of variety in terms of types of fitness and classes, but the 3D instructors command more attention and allow you to see form better than on a regular TV. Plus, many store equipment inside, eliminating clutter, making them space saving, too."

We tried and tested many of the options available on the market today and rounded up those we found to be the best fitness mirrors based on price, offerings, design, and usability. Here are the results.

Use the stand or mount this mirror to your wall where you have some space in front of it to get sweaty! Open the Lululemon Studio Mirror compatible app on your phone, and decide what workout you’re going to get into. Choose from strength training, yoga, cardio, barre, kettlebells, chair, kickboxing, and more, and work out with friends (who also have the app and join the same workout) while receiving real-time performance metrics (that are also then stored in the app). Trainers offer modifications, so you can tailor any workout to your needs, and if you turn on your camera, instructors can even give live feedback.

"You can now take part in 10,000-plus workouts from eight fitness studios, including Rumble, Dogpound, and Pure Barre, all from the comfort of your own home," says Men's Health fitness director Ebenezer Samuel. No wonder it received a 2023 Men's Health Home Gym Award.

What do buyers say? " I have a full home gym of weights, treadmill, bike, Elliptical, and now i use the Mirror more than the others equipement. Great content. Good Variety. New Challenges," said one mirror.co reviewer.

When you purchase this fitness mirror and the accompanying membership, you’ll be able to track stats like reps, pace, heart rate, your PRs (personal records) and more as you’re working out. You can get personalized coaching, too, or push yourself to squat deeper using the "range of motion meter." Along with the touchscreen and built-in speakers, you’ll also get dumbbells, bumper plates for the dumbbells, and a workout mat (if you choose the plus package, you can also get a barbell, barbell collars, a weight bench, heart rate monitor, recovery roller, and the pro package includes all listed as well as a folding squat rack, more and heavier competition weight plates, as well as a kettlebell system). Your weights are recorded by 3D sensors, and tracked on screen.

"The coaches are well-credentialed in a variety of areas, such as fat loss, hypertrophy, and injury prevention," Samuel wrote in a previous review of Tempo. "There are one-off workouts as well as monthlong programs, and the AI automatically dials the weight up or down based on your strength output, volume, speed, and overall intensity."

What do buyers say? "I love how easy it is to assemble and use," says one bestbuy.com reviewer. "I also love the variety of classes and programs that they offer, and the fact that you have the option to join live classes is great also."

Using the brand's trademarked Motion Engine technology, this mirror allows you to get real time form feedback and coaching tips while you’re exercising. It's also a great way to learn a new skill, like dancing or boxing, if you’ve never done them before. Classes are added weekly so you’ll never get bored. The mirror is Bluetooth compatible, so you can connect your watch, heart rate monitor, or other smart devices to monitor your stats in real time.

What do buyers say? "No software or hardware issues yet," said one amazon.com reviewer. "Motion camera works great and is actually helping me on my form."

The library of workouts this mirror offers is ever growing, thanks to the integrated iFit membership (not included with initial price). The reflective training allows you to watch your trainer on screen and line up your body and form in the correct position every time. Every workout session is recorded so you can check your progress to ensure you’re meeting your goals. Choose from HIIT, yoga, strength, cardio workouts and more directly on the 22-inch touchscreen. The mirror comes with a 10-pound barbell, two five-pound dumbbells bars, and four two-and-a-half-pound weight plates, that can all be stored on the back.

What do buyers say? "This is a nice fitness mirror with tons of videos to train by," an amazon.com reviewer said. "It doesn't take up a lot of space and was pretty easy to put together."

If you like the thought of live in-studio classes at home, this mirror's for you. The Echelon membership gives you access to over 40 daily live classes available at all hours of the day—as well as thousands of on-demand options, too, including kickboxing, Pilates, HIIT, yoga, and more. The mirror is Bluetooth compatible, and you can choose your workout directly on the 32-inch touchscreen—no app download needed.

What do buyers say? "I love the variety of workouts and the options continue to grow," one echelon.com reviewer said. "Technical issues will happen every so often (classes not showing, connection issues) but they seem to be corrected quickly.

If you already have equipment at home, and just need the mirror and class membership, consider this option. The mirror comes with a towel and has vertical storage shelves to hang and store weights and equipment inside, too. The iFit membership gives you access to a variety of workouts from HIIT, to beginner yoga, to strength training, interval training, and more, which you directly on the61.5" mirrored touchscreen. The mirror rotates 360 degrees, too, in case you need more space to workout.

"NordicTrack's take on the workout mirror doesn't just give you an iFit trainer pushing you through sweat sessions," Samuel says in his Men's Health 2022 Home Gym Awards. "Behind the mirror lie sets of dumbbells (up to 30 pounds), kettlebells (up to 30 pounds), and resistance bands, setting you up for easy muscle-building bliss."

What do buyers say? 811 customers gave The Vault's iFit-enabled workouts a 4.7 out of 5 stars.

From guided workouts to customizable weekly plans, this fitness mirror wants to give users a personal experience. Classes include options for body—like, core, strength, yoga, dance, boxing, and more—as well as mind—like meditation, sound bath, breath work, and more—taught by over 30 different instructors. The mirror comes with a mat as well as a heart rate strap, so you can monitor your effort and train by HR zone. Buy add on equipment for the mirror, like a barre for barre workouts or adjustable arms for either side of the mirror to use in strength workouts.

"This fitness mirror is all about aesthetic, meant to look beautiful in your living room (or any room really), yet it delivers the cable resistance of a Tonal, and one of the best triceps pressdown ropes you’ve ever used," Samuel wrote in his 2023 Home Gym Awards.

Tonal's unique brand of magnetic resistance doesn't feel completely like a gym cable machine, but it's close, and the wall-mounted device adds several other features, simulating chain resistance or adding eccentric resistance to classic exercises. Add in easy music integration, and you have a dream home gym.

This popular workout mirror takes the guesswork out of the equation when it comes to your fitness goals. Start with a strength assessment so the machine can learn your strength and record your starting weight. Then the machine uses up to 200-pounds of adaptive weight to custom-set to your goals—and if the machine senses that the weight isn't enough because you’re performing reps too quickly, it will automatically adjust accordingly. The technology keeps track of each workout you complete, as well as your performance, and then creates a customized training plan to help you set strength goals and reach them. Adjust the arms to perform over 245 different upper, lower, and full body exercises.

What do buyers say? "Tonal continues to let me be great," says one tonal.com reviewer. "Each week has been better than the prior week."
